i have a tank with a portcichlid and a african cichlid and the aferican always bits the port cichlid wa should i do?????:sick:

If you can part with it take it back and trade it for another fish at your LFS

african cichlids belong in a tank no smaller than 55 or they will pester anything to death....most cichlids need room to spend aggression or else you'll just end up with a revolving door of dead fish..

If you're gonna keep them in the 30 you may want to add more rockwork and hiding places. Anything that will break their line of sight will help.

i have like a buch of rocks piled up and theres tons of holes and places to go but the port cichlid wont go in becouse the african cichlid stays right outside of it

You didn't mention what kind of african cichlid. What kind is it? Can you post a pic if you don't know the species?
