So they have food for marine fish and for freshwater fish. What would happen if I added fresh water food to a marine diet or a marine food to a freshwater diet? And should brackish fish have both? I understand that they are different formulas, but would it be hurtful or beneficial to feed both formulas, salt and fresh, to any fish?

I have always used them interchangeably to use up a can or until I got the correct type. As primary staple food probably best to stick with appropriate type, although I have no hard facts for you.
