They can max out around the 2 inch mark according to the profiles. Mine are still juveniles and less than an inch long, and I plan on upgrading to a 75/80 gal before too long. I think that if you've got good filtration and are careful about cleanings then you could probably get away with 5-6 even as adults.Originally posted by gersheff

Forgot to mention, if you go with a betta at all you'll need to be careful about decorations. Plastic plants and some decorations can cut their fins. Best to go with silk plants or live ones.
