Hi, I posted about this before but want to add a little more. I am going to have fish in a 10 gallon with this (click here or on the other link) in it (4 BETTA SECURITY HOUSE) and I will still have room below. What kinds of fish should I put in there? Any sugggestions? Anyone have a 10 gallon tank with bettas? What other kinds of fish do you have in that tank? How many African Dwarfs (not clawed) can I have in this tank?? *It's a fresh water tank* Thank you!

PS. I set it up today. We are putting in a better filter tommorow or tonight.

:)

Most community fish will work, just dont mix with fish that nip fins like barbs, or some of the larger tetras. Are all the fish listed already in this tank?

i have a 10G with 2 dividers, so far just 2 bettas though. i wouldn't put more than 3 bettas in a 10G, but 4 in one of those small cramped betta condos is pushing it.

Doesn't look that cramped to me..

Yeah, but those females don't look full grown either, if you ask me. And in all honesty, if you kept that many females together long-term, they WOULD attack one another, do fin damage, and possibly kill one another.

See how some of them are even flaring in the photo? They were probably put together like that JUST for the photo. They shouldn't be kept like that by any casual aquarist. And really, I'd say use it for 4 females, or open it into two compartments for two males. Any more than that would be cruel.

I don't agree that bettas need 5 gallon tanks to be content, but I do agree they need SOME breathing room. Speaking of breath, ANOTHER big annoyance with those condos is making sure the water level doesn't lower and leave your fish with only an INCH to swim in!! O__O;;
