hi everyone
i was thining of starting a 15 gallon fish tank for my room. any ideas on some good fish to put in a tank that size? i want it to be relitvly colourful as well a peaceful.

Long or a tall 15 gallon?
I like the longs a little bit better than the talls. I do recommend maybe a planted tank with a pair of Rams and some Amano shrimp. I think this would make a pretty little tank.

A group of endlers 3 males 6 females or if you dont want to deal with fry an assortment of male endlers and guppies about 12-14 of them

Bad form.. if you are going to do one or the other do just one species of the live bearers. If you want Endlers, buy endlers and just keep endlers. do not mix and match and keep your blood line true.

But I think a 15 long is still nice planted tank size. You can lots of fun with it.

Mollies are a touchy subject for me. I do not keep them in anything less than a 30 gallon tank. They are a very active fish and they just like to move around. I always feel that they do better in larger tanks. I wouldn't put a sailfin in anything less than a 55. Now mind you, its possible to keep a pair happy in a 15 but still that is cramp for them. Plus depending on the species they like their water hard and like eating lots of greens.

Mollies can get big... I don't recommend live bearers at all. They will reproduce so much that they OS your tank.

I'd say go with a single bolivian ram cichlid or dwarf gourami (blue, coral green, sunset, honey, whatever), a school of neon/cardinal/kerri tetras, maybe a trio of rainbow or sunset platies, and 4 peppered/julii/etc corydoras.

You would have color, variety, action, and a fairly peaceful aquarium.

I like kimmisc's suggestion.
