got any ideas on fish combinations for my 75gallon tank...
i would like colorful fish, and dosnt matter agressive or non agressive tank...
and my tank will be a FOWLR tank for a while... and plan on upgrading to a bigger tank later in a year or so...

i was thinking about...
-1 nasu tang
- 2 clown fish
- flame angel

for the fish...

let me know if it's a good combination or an extremely bad one...
let me knwo what ideas u have for fish, ur input will be greatly apreciated...

i had a naso tang, 2 percs, mandarin, sailfin and a flame angel all in my 135. the only problem i had was the sailfin finally killed the naso. naso tangs get really big, i have seen them at 15 inches before, which IMO is to big for a 75, i know you said you plan on upgrading, but i also think that if your gonna do that just start oout with the clowns and the flame. i would wait untill you upgraded before you got the naso, but thats just my opinion.

I would definitely start with the clowns, they're hardy and fun to watch. Add the flame angel a little later as your tank is better established. Royal grammas are a hardy/beautiful addition, and I would think about some kind of goby too... I love my yellow watchman goby, fun to watch, and a very purposeful fish to have in your tank. my 2cents...

arnt some goby's suposed to be added when ur tank has been mature for a year or so? or is that certin ones?

it's the blonde naso tang that gets like 15 or so inches...
and the regular naso tang only get like 10 inches or so sais this one site...
and if i get one small enough will i to fine for 6 months to a year when i upgrade?

any other fish ideas... colorful is always a plus... and personality is too...

even if it was 15"(which it most likey woudn't get to) it could still live in a 75
48" by 18" by 20" is enough room for it to swim around and usally they wont get over 8" to 12"max and only if fed a bunch
and if you have madarins you need Amphipods, copepods, Isopods, etc our they are pretty much guarenteed death

Are you kidding???????????????????????? I hope you aren't the expert on tangs or this site is in considerable trouble... A 75 gallon cannot and I repeat cannot support at half grown naso tang much less a full grown one... Also the blue tang is a bad choice for a 75 gallon, as it will outgrow this one too. If you plan on upgrading and want the two tangs... 250 gallons would be the min. If you only want one... I'd go with 125 gallons for the Naso and 100 gallons for the blue.
My suggestions for fish are Percula clownfish (They wiggle when they swim) Fire gobies (cute little guys with a big fin that looks like a spike on thier back) Bangali Cardinalfish, Royal Gramma's, and possibly some wrasses in the 75 gal.

I've said this about a hundred times, there is a difference between a fish living in a tank, and a fish thriving in a tank... THRIVING is definately a better choice and your fish will live a lot longer and have a lot less complications.

I really like the lemonpeel angels over the flame angels. 2 dwarf type angels shouldn't be housed together though in a tank that small because they will most surely fight.

What about a nice wrasse like a banana wrasse?

I agree with Fishfirst. A 100 gallon tank is the absolute minimum for a tang and if the naso type tangs are wanted then even larger.. I personally love Sohal tangs (my most favorite fish of all). I have seen a shoal of these at full size and after seeing this i dont even think i could put one in my 220 gallon tank when its finally finished.

As for the mandarin, again i recomend a 100 gallon tank. The reson for this is not the swimming room available but the amount of liverock available for it to feed on the pods it creates. I would also run a tank for a minimum of 1 year to allow pods populations to stabalise.

alright
i have no intentions of keeping more then one dewarf angel, and no intentions on keeping more then one tang... if them at all... i was just wondering information about what type of fish i could keep and that is recomended...
thanks...

any other sugestions are welcome...

and please try to keep the hostility down...

thanks again for all the help...
