Fish for grandparents

The just got a 10 gallon aquariummwith basic filtration and heating with normal colored gravel. Very low tech, what are some good colorful non requiring fish that would give them iewing plaeasure? Mind you I onl go over there about twice a month so won't be able to monitor thanks

Guppies. Go with all males to prevent fry, which require additional maintenance. Males are prettier anyway.

why get guppies,when you can get Endlers or maybe celestial pearl danio.

Most people (IME) don't find Endlers as attractive as male fancy guppies, but if the grandparents like them better, great.

I will see that is a good idea, I was thinking some neons and some guppies, different sex is fine, I am sure they would enjoy babies i know I did.

Neons are pretty mellow, you could show your grandparents them.

hmm.. neons aren't very hardy IME. Go with guppies or even danios.

Danios and guppies, I am going to take them to petsmart and let them choose with my guidance. They used to have a tank way back when, and they almost insisted on an underground filter ugh, luckaliy they didnt have one in stock

I think a beautiful male betta with snails and/or ottos (once established of course)
I love my 10 gallon Betta tank - right now it has the betta a couple of little cories. Bettas are soooo much more personable than tetras (& very low maintenance).........JMO

platies. they come in pretty much every color, even blue, and are peacful, hardy, and active.
