I've seen them a few times & I forgot the name of them. They're an african cichlid that sort of resemble a peacock. They're mainly black w/ a blue face & a white tip on the dorsal fin... I've been looking for pictures, but I dont have a name to go with the description, any ideas??
My guess would be Pundamilia nyererei: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1567. There are lots of great looking Victorians but I'm not sure the availability of them, at least, I never see them around here. Striking fish though.
Sorry about the poor (cu)ality (cue button doesn't work) of the pictures, but this is what he looks like. Just got my cord for transferring pictures.
GPRC- I think it looks a lot like the picture you posted, only mine doesn't have as good of colors yet, the egg spots are the same, just not as noticeable yet.
I realize I said he "might" be Victorian, and that Aulonocara is Malawi, but the closest thing I could find is the Aulonocara "mesinje". And no it isn't a pundamilia nyererie (i have 3, hopefully a breeding trio).
