Fish identity question

I have been searching the Internet without luck trying to find the name or a picture of this fish.

The one I saw was about 4" long. It had a nice vibrant sky blue with marks of dark blue (if I remember correctly) but the most distinguishing part was his "nose" which was long and reminded me of a tapir.

Does ANYONE have any clue what I'm talking about? I need to find out if it'll be compatiable with the inhabitants of my boyfriend's tank and such before I buy him for Christmas. I'm researching a nice addition to his tank so I can put the purchase on hold until closer to the holiday. Thanks a million, sorry for the vague description.
 
Is it a saltwater fish or a freshwater fish? If freshwater, then you might get some more help posting there. The only "oddball" freshwater fish that I can think of that might match the description are Blue Whales (I don't think they have the nose though). Are you sure the color was real, not a dyed color. Is there any way you can take a picture of the specimen you found and post it? That would be most helpful. Sorry I can't help more but hope this helps in someway.
 
Mono Yeah, it's definitely saltwater. It was in with a yellow tang.

Mogurda I think you may have found my fish...! To be sure I'll make the hike out to the fish store and snap a picture. I thought he was more sky blue, but maybe I'm just losing it haha. I'll report back with the picture.

But this does look prety similar... :)
