I have been strugling with an ammonia spike over the last few days. While I was doing a 25% water change my black moor swam right into the hose. His scales got sucked off in a circle. Will be okay? Will the scales grow back?

The other fish swam right by with out a prob. Yesterday when I was putting water in the new Penguin bio wheel 350 he swam right in to the cup I was using. I almost poured him in. I think he is retarded.

scales grow back just fine without any kind of effort on your (or the fish's) part. i would be more worried about the possibility of internal damage, but if nothing else happens in a day or two your fish should be alright.

So foar no sign of something wrong with his inners. The only prob so far today is my little congnitively unfortunate fish getting stuck in a plant.

Add a little salt and Prime (or comparitive product if you can) to help the healing process a little. It wouldn't hurt to add it for stress as well. He should be fine, just watch hikm as much as possible.

I added stress coat right after it happend. He still seems to be doing great.

The scales are starting to grow back now, still no signs of internal probs.
