Hi guys, I have a 29g with 5 cories, an angel i've had and some cardinals... I buy them frozen food such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and then I decided to try tubifex worms... no one is touching them, not even my angel!

Any idea what's going on? Maybe they're too spoiled on brine shrimp and blood worms? Thanks!

It is possible that they are not recognizing the food. Try a small portion of the tubifex mixed in with regular foods used and after a few of these feedings, increase the amount of tubifex while decreasing the other food.

It is also possible that the worms have spoiled and they are refusing a spoiled food. Frozen foods are notorious for this. If they thaw at any point before you get them it could become a problem.

:) Are we talkin frozen or freezedried?? Sometimes it takes a minute for fish to switch gears to something completely new. Especially if the familiar is available. Hold off feeding for a day & see if that peaks their interest. A touch of garlic often helps. "T"

They are frozen and I usually let them sit in a cup for about 5 minutes. I've gone through about 5 "blocks", but they still don't seem eat them.
