Im going to Cali.. Thinking about gettin some fish from there. I wonder if I can bring the fish with me through the gates and onto the plane back. Anyone know? I also have a small 6 in. bearded dragon that I need to bring with me on my trip or noone will take care of him for me. Anyone know if I can bring these guys with me on the plane? The dragon is a must bring. If Im not allowed to bring it then I'll have to put it in my pocket and sneak it through.. Anybody know about this kind of stuff?

Traveling with fish in your carry on isn't a problem. Just make sure that when you bag them that they are double bagged and clearly visble. I've traveled all over the country with no problems. I don't know about the lizard. I would imagine that it depends on how you intend on carrying it on. One thing I wouldn't do is hide it on your person. Hiding ANYthing in this dy and age is a no-no...especially a live animal.

so I can just hold the fish in my hand and go to my seat without a problem ? I'll probably bag the lizard too

just be glad there aren't any Snakes on a Plane... Otherwise you'd need Samuel L. Jackson.

For the lizard I believe you may need to get it vet-checked prior to the flight to ensure it isnt carrying anything... you need to do that with cats, dogs, bird, etc. Call the airline to find out...

That makes sense. They more than likely would want a clean bill of health. The only real problem you might have with the fish is if you were carrying a species that was on the CITES list.

I called united, and they just told me they don't allow fish nor lizard. But that's okay. I'm flying back with continental. I'll check with them if I can bring fish back here to VA with me.. And for the bearded dragon, I got my friend to take care of it. Thanks guys. I just hope I can bring some fish back, because there are lots of fish in cali.

is the dragon old enough to learn fire breathing yet? that could be a dangerous fire hazard, so i doubt they will let you bring it.

You should check with the TSA not the airline. The airline doesn't not check your bags the TSA does.
