fish rescue on animal planet

spirals

i will eat you in your sleep
ok this is the first time i've seen this so i thought i would share. Currently watching Animal Planet and the Houston aspca just rescued a salt water tank!!!! They removed it from the owners house along with some Iguanas. It really is nice to watch them taking so many steps to acclimate the fish and try to help them.

I saw that one.. the tank and lizards were abandoned.

Same thing on another episode, but it was a goldfish in a bowl :lipssealedsmilie:

vague recollection: Tank had been abandoned, water was really muddy, lots of evap. They put stuff into assorted buckets, covered items w/ water, drained off most of rest of tank water & moved it all out, mixed up IO, added to tank, then started adding some to buckets... I didn't watch enough to know what, if anything made it. I think it was mostly inverts...

I think everyone made it... it took them HOURS to safely take everything down and transport them.

one of the rescue guys ended up taking it home. everything survived :) they showed a scene at the end with the guy and his wife and kids enjoying the tank. they said they still are finding new things(they still don't know how many starfish are in there) popping out of the rocks and coral and are loving it.
