Fish Sanctuary

I might be out of Craig's List for posting my rescue ad. All of a sudden, more rescues have popped up! Imagine that!
Neenah Fish Rescue (Around for two years, no ads until this June)
http://appleton.craigslist.org/pet/1879482705.html
Aquatic Haven Fish Rescue (Around since 1993, no ads until this April)
http://appleton.craigslist.org/pet/1879483591.html

None of these "Rescues" have sites, or any proof of any rescues, but yet, they claim to be. These are just two out of the five that I've seen over the few months that I've had the rescue...:swear:
And to top it all off, I can't keep an ad up for more than 10 min. without being flagged.
Might have to get an ad in the paper.

Just sometimes I want to... :nutkick: lol

man that sucks at least you have your web site up also check local pet stores to see if you can put up a flier or something.
It does, but there is nothing that I can do to stop it.
I might have to give that a try as well. :)
Next rescue is this weekend. He changed the date on me, lol. It was supposed to be on last Sunday.

I just read through this thread. I am really impressed. I've sort of done rescue stuff before as in buying feeder guppies and taking care of them. I am liking your idea though.

PS: I'm 14.

Thanks. :)

Yesterday I got to work on a large setup.
A pool. It is a circular pool, so the diameter is 66 Inches across, and the downside it is 16" deep. But it works! Filled it with 5-Gallon pails, which wasn't my most exciting part of the day, lol. Finally got it fillled, added a Fluval Canister Filter (Thank you fish-n-chips!), and half a bag of sand (All I had), and I do need to get more of that today.
I then added my 16" Long Nose Gar rescue, and four Oscar rescues, which swim in a pack around the pool. They seem very happy to have so much space compared to what they are used to. The Oscars are very cautious around the Gar, lol, they try to keep their distance. And Pics later, need batteries now for the camera. Might be setting up yet another pool for the rescues that don't get along with the others.

Thank you!
Most of my free time I spend caring for the tanks. Sitting, observing, checking any new problems (Bite marks, fin nips, underweight fish, etc.) Not including water changes, tank cleaning, feeding, etc. :D
Getting yet another pool tomorrow, hopefully one a bit more "sturdy", and possibly larger.

lol, would you throw in an extra ten if I pet the Gar. :D
Did that as well... lol

Here are the videos for the pool. I do not know the total amount of gallons FOR SURE without measuring a little bit. Some sites say over 200, some say 150, some say 120. I'll figure it out, for sure, tomorrow. (Thought for $3.00, why not!? lol)
I did add around 40-Gallons worth of water from their original tanks, so the water is not 100% new. Sand, plants, rock, and better lighting will be added over time. Hopefully I can take care of the rock and sand part tomorrow. Pics then as well!
The Part 2 shows Bruce! the largest, and first Oscar rescue. I'll probably be moving him to the larger pool, if we happen to come across one, tomorrow.
He is doing just fine now with the other Oscars, as well as the Gar.
