My black mollies have white spots all over their bodies, are they sick?
if so what should i do?
and how can i prevent this in the future?

Raise the temp to 28c for 2 weeks and the white spot will die. Add and air
stone to or place the filter outlet so that the returning water breaks the
waters surface to increase oxygen levels that will deplete beccasue of the raised temperature.

Are you using any salt in the water as Black Molllys are brackish fish.
Is it new tank syndrom?
Can you post your water parameters.

o ammonia, o nirite, 30 nitrate
and no salt do i get the aquarium or salt water salt

and thnx for the quik reply

Aquarium salt works best, I've heard & used when my 75g had ich. Black mollies aren't brackish, although they can be kept in brackish. Sailfin mollies are the only true brackish mollies I know of.

New fish and plants can bring diseases & parasites into your tank, along with rocks and driftwood that has been in somebody else's tank. How can you stop this? Quarantine all fish for 2-3 weeks before adding them to your main tank so you can see if they display any illness. If you aren't sure about plants you get, it's best to QT them for a few days.

Sailfin mollys are fresh water. Just watched a program about caves in Mexico
and there was a part with Sailfins in a pond with Crocodiles.
Black Mollys are brackish. If I am wrong I apologise for giving information as fact.

You water seems fine. Just higher the temp and try to increase airation and you will be fine.

k thnx
i got an air pump with two tubes. one at the bottom of tank and the other on the side. is that enough?
and when i add the salt will it affect my other fish the bala shark?

That should be plenty of agitation to get the air dissolved. You don't get much air in the water from the bubbles themselves but by stirring the surface you get some air to dissolve. The white spots all over your mollies is called ich. As others have said, temperatures above 85F or 30C will go a long way toward being a cure but the water will not be able to hold as much air in solution, thus the need to stir the water surface.
Try reading up on the disease and treatment here to get an idea of what your options are. http://www.aquahobby.com/articles/e_ich2.php

Mollys are very hardy fish. They can survive without salt. If you have a Bala shark then the salt is a no no. Molloys are best kept with other Brackish fish.
