I have recently succesfuly transfered my 10g setup into my new 29g.(I installed new heater, Penguin 150) I currently have a pair of Kribs and 3 Phantom Tetras. The tank looks pretty empty, the Kribs and the tetras hang out toward the bottom. Does anybody have any suggestions regarding adding more fish?
Dwarf Gouramis, cichlids(other than Kribs), etc?

Note: Water parameters are ok: ammonia is 0ppm, Nitrites 0ppm, pH is almost neutral.

Also, is the Penguin 150 going to be enough? Should I upgrade sometime?

I always like barbs, especially Tiger barbs. Sometimes they can be a little fiesty, so if you get them you might want to be careful and keep a close eye on them. Some neon tetras would be a good choice. Also, maybe some cory cats if you are looking for some bottom feeders.

I have had barbs before, I really didnt like them, they were almost to active. I was looking for a fish with a good temperment, and a larger size, unlike barbs and tetras(i know barbs can get huge.) I like gourami's, and the cichlid species, I just wonder if they would be compatible with mine.

Cichlid

Hi ANGLERMAN,
In my experience with cichlids make sure you have them at the same size but your 29 gallon tank is only good with 2 of them due to the space in your fish tank. They are very hardy fish and last for years.when you go to your petstore speak to the guy who knows the most for your questions. I have 2 Oscars 1 Pleco and 2 red devils in a 90 gallon tank an under gravel filter with a power head amd your filter go good together because their messy eaters. If 1 gets picked on to much I'd return him and get the matching ogresive 1 to the other. If you ignore this he will die by the bullies. Just don't over crowd them you will be ok.
