fish swimming slanted when lights are off?

I've noticed that my fish, when I have the main tank lights off, slant towards the doorway, it's actually kinda funny. I close the door so they don't have the need to do so, but I bet they slant towards the small window instead :) Fish are weird, does anyone know why they do this?

I notice this especially w/ our Tiger Barbs.

Tiger Barbs are definitely up there for odd sleeping habits. Not quite in Clown Loach or Filefish territory, but still often scary when first seen.

well, yeah, otherwise, they will still always do it;)

you should see how my male and female ABN plecos sleep

the male sleeps on his back so the first time i saw that, i thought he was dead before i turned on the lights, and after the lights turned on, he darted away.

my female always sleeps like a bat hanging from the DW

what!!! thats weird. i thought my platy was dead bc he was sleeeping at the top just sitting there and he didnt move when i poked him but then i went to scoop him up and he swam away

yeah, i know, fish r crzy

My Valentini Toby will find a spot on the rocks and stick himself to it to sleep. Not sure how he holds on against the current but he just sits there resting. He even seems to have a sleep schedule, because if I feed them any later then midnight he goes to sleep and refuses to get down from his rock even as the food drifts around him.

I've also have a Planehead Filefish that likes to sleep on its side, floating around the surface. :screwy:

I'm sure they also see us as strange sometimes. lol

yes, yes they do, unless you have angels or discus or plecos, they see us as gods cuz we give them food and hand feed them:)
