Fish Tb

Not to scare anyone but I have been doing a little research on the subject of fish TB and am wondering what the members with a background in this area think of it. I think i have a M.praceox with it currently. I have also read that it may live in all tanks all the time in the "mulm" as I have more than one source that states this. Just wondering about what you think as I am looking for some first hand info, not just "aquarticles" Thanks in advance for your info.

well since tb effects the lungs and fish have gills i would give it a strong no.

fish can get TB. dont know much about it. last person i knew with it had to put all her fish down and blech down the tank. i hope someone who knows more about this can help.

Fish TB is quite rare, but deadly if it is in a tank. The tank must be litterally exterminated, torn down and bleached to death. I wouldnt even trust a filter that had been used on an infected tank to be totally safe after a bleach bath.

Sometimes bleach does not even get rid of it. You have to spray everything down with at least 70% strength isopropyl alcohol (preferably several times, making sure you get it all). I hardly ever use bleach to clean used equipment etc with now, I mostly just use the alcohol.
