Fish that you hate the most

see i love all fish just there are a few i would never keep as they don't tickle my fancy such as goldies all forms I'm just not in the mood for a tank with them, African cichlids but not all of them just a general few like peacocks and mbunas, blood parrots it hurts me as we were the ones to make them the deformed thing that they are, flowerhorns, glofiish, any tattooed dyed fish, plecos, and any genetic inbreed aka balloon species.

I dislike any fish that man has manipulated - i.e. goldfish strains, flowerhorns, parrot fish, glow or painted fish, fish that man has maimed or artificially colored. I also have a serious dislike for any eel-like or snake-like fish. If it ain't found in the wild that way, I don't like it.

exactly same here ...

i don't think it's a general hate of goldfish, people just don't like the ones that have been selectively bred to be deformed. many of us want our tanks to be as natural as possible.

What about your peacocks, guppies, angels, and red cherries?

If you're not dealing specifically with fresh out of the wild fish, you have no choice but selectively bred stock, whether they were selected for ease of breeding, or any other purpose, the only natural fish you have available are the ones that come from nature. I think a lot of this animosity towards goldfish and their "horribly, painfully mutated nature" stems from ignorance over how far exactly the hand of man has reached into all of our tanks. So if wild caught is bad, and so is selectively bred, where does that leave our poor fish hobby?

I agree. Is it any different than keeping a Golden Retriever as opposed to a Coyote?

I hate Bloodparrots. Awful looking little hybrid freaks.

the only fish i hate are the dyed and tattooed fish
even then i dont really hate the underlying fish but the process that they undergo

Ditto I feel really sorry for them :(

The only fish I hate are the bubble eyed goldfish and rope fish. I hate snakes so any fish that looks like a snake is on my hate list. The exception to the snakelike fish rule is gobies. I don't have any but I think they are cute.
