Fish Tunnel

What happens if the water level drops below the entrance of the tunnel?
The obvious. Water runs out of the water-bridge in both directions and floods your lounge with the content of the water-bridge. I have never allowed the water level to drop to lower than 1 inch from the threaded opening of the bridge

Scary.

wow, so thats how that works, i couldnt digue out how he got the water to stay. If i were him, i would have made the enterance pipes longr so in case crap hit the fan, it would have maybe 3 inches of water that could be lost.

Cool. I think a better idea would be to have the tube connecting from the middle of one tank to th middle of the other and I think the fish would use it more. Great though.

You could avoid this by having a low enough water level in the tanks to accommodate the volume of water in the bridge, though. Or, what I think maybe subxero is saying, if the tunnel extends down into the tank far enough, it could only be exposed when the tank did have enough spare capacity for the water in the bridge.

The level of water in the tak would have to be higher than the start of the bridge, meaning it wouldnt be very low really.

Looks nice but not really practical for cleaning.

Pretty neat, It would be cool to have that around my entire room.
It's pretty safe and would probably guarantee that it won't flood. Have you ever seen the dog bowls that has a jug on top of it. As the water goes below the entrance level of the jug. The jug fills the bowl until its above the entrance again. So as long as there is no crack, or opening in the tunnel, there will be a suction there forever.
