fish with a zit

I have a white cloud swimming around with what looks like a monster zit on one side of its body. Anyone know what this might be?

Sounds like an external parasite to me. Hard to tell w/o more info or a pic.

This is more rare, but he could have a tumor. I can invision them looking like a zit. I agree, a picture would certainly help!

if it is a small white spot it is ich, it would be about the size of a grain of sand

That looks (from what I can see) a lot like a tumor. Was the fish swimming upside down? Might even be some sort of internal problem causing the skin to bulge. Hard to tell

It is swimming upright. It just has the really inflamed bump on its side. The bump is a pinkish red, like a bee sting would have. Im guessing to take care of the tumor I would have to spend thousand of dollars on kemo or stick it in the deep freeze and go spend another buck and a half on a new one.

Yeah, if it's a tumor then you really can't do much but to give him a good home while you can. Sometimes the fish can live a long time with a tumor, other times they go "like that". Just be prepared, thats all.
