Hi all. I have three harlequin rasboras and two corys in my ten gallon. Later, when the tank is fully cycled. I had the idea of getting a few cardinal tetras, but i've been told that I should get four more corys and say four more rasboras. This would make sense, but kind of lack variety. What kinds of fish could I have with them that would get along well, perhaps even school?

Well IMO there isn't anything that resembles enough to school with them (if thats what you mean)....and there isn't room in a 10g for 2 full schools, so I wouldn't add another schooling fish.
I'd get atleast 3 more Harlequins, and 2-4 more cories, then you could add one smallish centerpiece fish like a betta or dwarf gourami. That would be about all you have room for in a 10g.

Have you considered perhaps upgrading to a 20 gallon since you seem to be enjoying your fish hobby? You can continue your cycle in a 20 gallon if you use your gravel and filter media and maybe even your filter if it is rated for a 20 gallon, that way when your cycle is complete you will beable to get two schools of fish more cory and a nice centre piece fish.

hehe, I just got the ten gallon for christmas, I will upgrade. But, I just started fish keeping. I had no idea that I could have a dwarf gourami or a betta with the rasboras and corys!! Maybe I'll add the other rasboras and corys in a few weeks, or when the cycle finishes, and then after then get a betta or gourami. Sounds good?
This person already has three rasboras and two cories. If you added everything that you suggested into a ten gallon tank with what is already there, then the tank will be seriously overstocked. That is the last thing you want in a tank that is so small.
