fish you always have a problem keeping

Mine is GBR's, I have tried them twice and they live for a few weeks and poof
they die.I was thinking maybe my PH but I have heard of other people with Ph of 7.8 and they have no problems.

Lizard Loaches (http://www.loaches.com/species-index/homaloptera-confuzona). They last a day or two. A couple of weeks was my best.

Hillstream Loaches. I had one last several months recently though. They don't seem to handle the most minor disruption to conditions.

Corydoras. I never used to have trouble with these at all. Ever since moving to my current place I cannot keep them. I suspect it's to do with them being air-breathers, because all related fish don't do well for me here. I have a horrible feeling that it's to do with rental accomodation and landlords using pest control 'bombs' between tenancies. I just have a feeling that the air/carpets are contaminated here.

Most Asian imported Guppies. They are over-medicated, mass-bred, stressed out, genetically inferior deadbeats. Local Guppies are fine.

cherry shrimp, mainly because my gbr's keep making snacks out of them. might have to move the gbr's to the other tank.

Dwarf Gouramis tried 5 different times and they all died even when each one had their own 15 gallon tank.

I can keep cardinals/neons and GBR's no problem. The fish I have tried twice to make a school of and just keep killing them? Danios. One of the heartiest fish around. Now you know my shame. :)

guppies. I repeatedly tried guppies in my five gallon, and every single time they died, despite perfect water. I've given up. Now it's a betta tank with a bare bottom.

I hear you on the danios and red cherry shrimp. :headshake2:

Don't know what my problem is, but I originally bought 8 danios. A couple died with the first few days. Replaced one. Gold danio died. Replaced it with another gold danio, which also died. Slowly from then on, one by one, they all died except 2. The remaining 2 have stayed alive longer than all the others combined, I believe.

With red cherry shrimp, I first ordered them online. Those disappeared almost immediately. So I bought a few of them for $6 a piece at the only LFS in town that carries RCS. Those lived a little longer, but eventually all disappeared. Perhaps someone was snacking on them, but other (generic algae-eating) shrimp I've added have survived just fine and they're only a tad larger. No clue.
