Fishermen/Anglers here???

dont fish much these days-- but I did a lot when I was growing up in Montana.

My biggest 2 fish were HUGE smallmouth bass (had to be 8 lbs at least.. thats a big smallmouth)

and my biggest ever was a 23 pound Northern Pike (if memory serves correct.. I know it was huge) that was acctually the record at the lake I was at for a while

I usually fish freshwater never target a specific species just whatever is biting at the time.My biggest catch was a 14 lb carp out of pocatopaug. My favorite was a big channel cat out of that same lake.Always catch and release.

i caught a 12 lb blue catfish at lake arrow head in wichita falls texas i was using shad for bait

I don't remember what the biggest fish I ever caught was (probably a blue). I prefer SW fishing, but more recently have been doing FW (my husband likes FW). This past weekend I caught my first catfish (a bullhead) that weighedabout 7.5 lbs. It was beautiful. I had also caught a rainbow trout that weighed 2 lbs. We went to a paylake, which I probably will never do again, because all fish except trout are catch and release or pay and keep. If you catch a trout you have to pay for it. I don't eat trout.

you all need to move to alaska and catch real fish

Lets my biggest are... 85lb halibut(pretty small but hey I was 16 so i was ok with it) and a 36" 47lb king salmon...those are the only ones we really measured. Dad and I used to base it on how many meals we could get out of them!

I live on the Chesapeake Bay now and unless your catching rockfish or flounder fishing here is two much work... I loved living in AK, you could eat the fish with out having to worry about all the bacteria in the water(lots of water warnings when things get hot here)

not the largest. I mostly flyfish for trout.

this is a relatively nice one. the largest I caught was at the same place(Rockyford Creek) it was over 30" and tipped the scale at slightly over 11#.

Biggest FW was a 5lb largemouth out of a local river...biggest SW was a 36" bluefish out on LI Sound. I sometimes eat what I catch but 99% is catch and release. I don't fish as much now as I used to. And as far as catching "real fish"...probably the most fun I've had fishing is with a 4' ultralight rig and hooking up a whole mess of bluegill and smallmouth in the river. They may not be huge fish, but with an ultralight rod and 4lb test, they are a whole lot of fun to fight in.

I lovbe fishing. Just got back from a fishing trip last weekend. Mostly caught northern pike, some walleye.

Quebec's got some great lakes and rivers for some awesome fishing.

When we're not able to drive too far, we fish by the river, but we're mostly stuck catching ugly catfish and eels. The occasional sturgeon is nice to see however..
