pleaz help
i have to partner femail guppies, i got them off some one and they were both pregnant so i have kept them together for the last 3 months. at home we refer to them as blacky and whitey. any way they are both female and about a month ago blacky started bottom dwelling. well they were in a small 1/2 gallon display tank, after her not haveing them for almost a week i descided maybe the tank they were in was to small for her to birth in. so i set up a 65 gallon long tank. (i figured she would like it) half way through filling up the new tank, my 2 year old says "mommy fishey". i went running to the tank asuming she got the fish out (as she did with the tanks previouse resident). but to my surprise i had babies! and all was well. so i made the transfer and finished setting up the tank.
well i found out that it was whitey that had blacky was still pregnant. she stayed kinda floating on some plastic leaves for 3-4 weeks, never giveing birth.
just a quick speck sheet, both fish are fancy tail femailes, blacky goes very black for a week at a time she is also a guppy silver when she is not black. she is over and inch and a half long and almost a half inch acrost the belly! right before/after the move she developed what looked like a blood spot between her belly and spine. this has since just become another window to the babies.
this last week i noticed blacky getting sucked to the intake for the filter, but if i hit the glass she swam right off, this happned severail times.
so i moved her and whitey into a 4-5 gallon hex tank. now she is back to bottom dwelling she has been black for almost two weeks! oh and whitey is about to pop again!!!
needless to say i have been very suprized for the last week when she has lived through the night. i really don't know how old this fish is so i would be fine if it was just her passing on. but i am seriously worried about her fry. (i am a mom what can i say) has any one ever done a rescue surgery? can you walk me through it or send me a web site that would. also is there any thing else i should try. i do not know if this is her first set but given her size it would greatly suprize the whole fish world if it was. can guppys have complications if its not there first batch? plz some one help me. if its all impossiable should i let her suffer until she dies or is there a nice way to speed up her passing. thanks

I seriously doubt you could safely do surgery, before or after the fish died. If you want to consider euthanizing, check out the article section, it lists all the different ways, how effective they are, etc. Complications aren't too uncommon, so it could be the problem. However, do you have test kits? Can you test the water and post your results? It seems like there have been several moves to different tanks if I read correctly, which in itself could stress the fish to the point of complications/miscarriage, etc. Are these tanks you move the fish into cycled? Just some ideas :)

I really dont reccomend doing that, usually if the mother dies the fry do too, I think you might do more harm then good, since they are guppies....you will have alot more then the ones you would get possibly to survive

Alright?

i've saved tons of fry after the mother has died, sometimes hours after they died, i would suggest waiting to see what happens, if she does pas on, go ahead and gently cut the belly open, the babies will probably be in the eggs still, they will also be in a sack, you'll have to gently break the sack so they fall to the bottom(i prefer to do this in an empty tank with no gravel, some will pop out, and some wont
