catt...if you can't find the ammonia you need, fish food will work or a piece of raw shrimp.

Ok everyone will be happy to know I added the ammonia(I found it at the market "pure ammonia"). The chart goes from 4 to 8 so I think it's good for now, a solid 4 if not slightly over 4. I waited 2 hrs before I tested.

Now I wait 2 days and test again, right.

You're on the right track, Catt. I think you'll find that pure ammonia really is the easiest way - it's more precise, easier to use, easier to keep track of, etc. I'm glad you were able to find some!
