What went wrong with my cycle...
Ok, its a week later and I have made no additional progress. Has something gone wrong? or am I just being impatient? I keep dosing ammonia, but so far it has not dropped below 1.0ppm, my nitrites are still reading 0, and my nitrates look like they are around 20ppm (turning red, but still some orange on the test, not changed color in about a week).
Am I just being impatient? or is something wrong? I can't help but worry that my nitrates will end up dissapearing and I will be at square one (even though I am guessing that if my ammonia is going down, albeit slowly, that there is nitrite available for the nitrate to feed on).
Any suggestions? advice? info? Thanks.
