how do you know if your fish have tb? i bought some hatchet fish 3 weeks ago and have lost 2 of them of 7 - when i originally brought them home i noticed their stomachs were very flat on some of them and others looked more normal - i have them in a q tank with some other fish who are all fine - the 2 skinniest were the ones who died even thought they were eating fine - there is only 1 more skinny looking one - i have been treating with anti parasitic food just in case - i'm only asking because when i went back to the store the next day after i bought them i noticed one ghost catfish that was in their tank was bent a little and swimming weird and fuzzy whitesh looking - i plan on letting them qt for another 4 weeks but i mean if they seem fine then can i assume it's safe to move them to their new home? if they have tb woulnt the other fish in the tank get sick quickly - if someone coul give me some pointers i woul greatly appreciate any and all help,

thanks LMB

One of the characteristics of TB is failing to eat, and loss of fins (they literally will fall off). If your fish are eating, it's highly unlikely, IMO, that they would have TB. Once the fish quits eating, death is slow to follow--the fish will wither and drop flesh for weeks.
