I've used it before, found that it needed to be restarted frequently. How big is your tank?

It may lower it a bit, but it shouldn't affect your fish.

You are better off going with a DIY CO2 setup with 2 2L bottles. Google DIY CO2 and you'll get tons of instructions on how to set it up and what to use. Thats how I learned how to set mine up.

You could probably search on this site and pull up some threads about DIY CO2.
