Surfer's paradise-FLorida
I just got one and i know i have to feed it phytoplankton about every other day directly, but what else can i do to make it survive?? i have heard that they are a little hard to keep.
suggestions??

I don't know much for I am new to reef /salt water keeping but I read they need more then an every other day feeding. I read twice a day, also said to leave it alone, if it goes hiding in the rocks/sand then let it be for its not meant to be out in the open in plain view.
They have a lifespan of 2 to 3 years in the wild and in captivity they usually starve to death.

This is what I read and why I didn't get one when I saw these at the LFS.

I could be wrong.

I have read the same things Starla..

I have had one for several months now. It is always open and in clear view. I have it in a 12G Eclipse system and feed it 2-3 times a week by adding 2-3 drops of Phytomax every 2-3 days. I just add it to the main tank and all seems well. Best of luck to you.
