flaringshutter, midnight babies?

that 'black comet' is gorgeous!!! I can't believe how pretty he is.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on my fish... :)

I have just a few photos of the one midnight fry I kept. I've named her Lyra (I'm optimistically saying she's female). She's about an inch and a half long now. I still have three fry from the same batch in the 20 gallon, but I'm culling them tomorrow. They all have curled opercula and now that they are large enough I can also see they have crooked mouths and trouble breathing. It's too bad. I'm hoping to breed the pair I have (and purchase a confirmed female if necessary) in the future though, so I'm not too disappointed.

Anyway, here are a few photos of Lyra. I bowled her today to get a good look at her conformation and make sure she didn't have any major flaws. It looks like I might get lucky with that pattern - perhaps she will have tiger stripes. :) Sorry, the photos aren't terribly sharp. She's small and very quick.

She looks quite lovely, Flaring. Good luck as she develops.
