I life is good on this one. I used praziquantel, I got mine in powder form from a Link I found at Koivet.com. There is evidently a lower cost form available now that goes under the name prazi-pro. From everything I read, the two most consistant and respected treatments for Flukes were Fluke tabs and prazi. Fluke tabs are extremely harsh despite their effectiveness, they also require removal to a hospital tank if you have inverts in your tank.
Praziquantel is quite simply unnoticeable while being used. It does not harm invertibrates, or plants. My fish showed no signs whatsoever of any stress, and the treatment definately cured my nasties. I haven't had a fish flash for several months in any of my tanks.
I am not a huge supporter of randomly treating for unidentifieds, but in the case of praziquantel and flukes, I can see no reason why a treatment would hurt anything. the most you stand to lose is the money spent on Prazi. If you have any trouble finding some, Pm me. I purchased enough prazi to treat 1000 gallons of water (smallest quantity I could find) so I have a good bit left over.
