Does anybody know if the assembly tool is neccessary or if I can get by without them or using something else?

I've been using it for years on my machinery and never had the assembly tool. Sometimes you have to "lean" on them a little to get them to pop together but they will go! It's handy stuff for sure.

Yeah I have seen them on CNC machines and in aquariums. I just got my sump going and am thinking of using some on my return line. Thanks for the info.
