Floating Betta

It seemed that my betta could not tolerate any amount of freeze dried food, since I stopped feeding him any, hes never had any buoyancy problems since
When I first got Buoy, I fed it betta bites tiny bit of blood worm here and there, hes not crazy for bloodworm. And now hes floating.... so I'm trying to feed it freezedried daphia Maybe I should try feeding it flakes or what pthh.. I'll give the parasite tab thingy a shot.

Poor Bouy. I can't believe that fish is still alive. It's been over two weeks now.

Wow, you're right. Its been over 2 weeks. :thud: the parasite tab is the last thing I can do (that i know of). Sometimes Buoy "tip" over when he swims out to get food so he spend most of his time wedged in the plants. poor fishy.

Geeze, could be a few things....
1) Just plain old...My old fellas stopped eating about a week before passing away

2) Radical change in diet (probably the culprit)

3) BBS Baby brine shrimp fed as a youngster...Some breeders swear by it, others swear it causes swim bladder probs...

4) Low temp in tank ( can affect digestion and cause probs)

Check your tank temp...If it is between 72 and 80 you are ok...Do a massive water change and starve him for a few days...Sounds bad, but they can go atleast 6 weeks before starving to death.
Hope it works out for you
