OK, so I got a pair of brigs from my LFS about... maybe 2 weeks ago. I got one ivory, and one wild type. The wild one passed away a few days ago, and the ivory one has been floating for about 5 days now, consistently. I have yet to look into the tank and not see her floating. I believe this means that she hasn't been eating either. The temp in my tank is 78 and my params are ammonia .25, nitrites 0, nitrates 10 but I am due for a water change tomorrow.... Other than that, everyone in the tank seems to be thriving other than the snails. The tank is a 29 gallon that is moderately planted with fox tail, amazon swords, and a Brazilian sword, and also houses 4 false julii cories, 4 assorted platies, and a muppie (molly/guppy hybrid.) I am running a penguin Biowheel 200 filter, and have a medium/large aerated waterfall ornament as my centerpiece, I feed the platies and muppie on tropical flakes or crisps, feed the cories sinking shrimp pellets, and make snail jello, as well as supplement veggies such as zucchini for the snail(s). I also give a treat of thawed frozen bloodworms once or twice a week. As I said, everyone else seems to be thriving except the snails. They were the newest addition to my tank, but were doing fine for the first week. If anyone has any ideas of what is wrong with my snail and/or how I can help her (I assume its a her), any and all suggestions are welcome. I am really concerned considering it has been a while that she has been floating. Thanks in advance for your input!
