Floating Moss Ball

Just buy more when you find them on sale....that's what I do. There's actually a lfs near me that always sells them for $1.50. They're about the size of a golfball. I always walk out of there with 2 haha.

And they don't sprout off any newbs. You have to break pieces off.

$1.50? Oh wow .. that is a deal. They are $9.99 here. But, the next time I go there, I will buy another one.

Yeah....that $1.50 is something else. There are times though that they don't look good, so I don't buy.

I do think the marimo adds a nice touch to the tank. There aren't too many things that you can just throw in and forget about.

I like your moss ball but I preffer java moss growing on objects. I just ordered some on ebay from malaysia. I keep checking the mail but it has not arrived. The ebayers feedback is good so im sure it will be fine but how long can this stuff live in the mail in the dark?

I'm going to pin it down with copper staples (that I will make from electrical wire) to my styrafoam/cement background unless someone has a better idea. string will not really work on my background.

You can't use black thread? Copper is not good for a tank, especially if you have shrimp. Copper will kill them.
