fordrannyman, another brilliant idea. what kind of tape did u use? i like the tape option over using glue so i can take the things off in the future.

here's the one that I actually use, I couldn't find an image earlier (hence that really light one)

Quick, cheap, and easy. My favorite type of solution. And I like your moss idea, just make sure you don't pack it too much or you'll have water flowing over the top as well. I found that with the ones with the holes in the bottom (like the one in the picture) if you keep the upper lip above the water level you'll get the water going directly downward through the holes = no surface agitation
