Florida Aquaculture Certification

There's no regulation on how many tanks. There's regulations by state of species that one can breed but mostly a huge amount of fish can be breed. Here in Florida any type of walking catfish, freshwater stingrays are prohibited. You need to have a permit to have some of these species and susceptible to unannounced visits to verify the amount of these species and when you sell one you need to make sure that the buyer also have the permit and keep paperwork as proof of where the specimen went. Now that weather is cooling we are setting up some more tanks for when we get back from the AAAA fall auction. We have pre-ordered some Geos, Bristlenose(blue eyed and albinos), and maybe some other species. The pet trade is not being regulated, but if like the info for the certification says if you breed to sell you will need a certification(According to The Florida State Department of Agriculture- Aquaculture Division). Thanks guys. We hope to find a small warehouse so we can take our biz there. Thanks.

Well as for right now we have several species of african cichlids and some new world too, but we have raised some whiptail catfish and some more. We recently got Mpimbwe Frontosas, Salvinis, Festivums, Geophagus"Tapajos", a bit of community fish and some Shrimps. So a bit of everything but the main idea is getting hard to find species. I want to set up later a Discus colony and try my luck on them tho.
