I was told that to get rid of my algae I should have CO2 into the tank, and use Flourish XL.....At petsmart I found Flourish with Iron, and just plain old Flourish. Would plain old Flourish get rid of my algae? I allready have do it yourself C02 hooked up and working great.

Do you have plants? What kind of alage?

Excell is a seperate product From the rest of the flourish line, as mentioned. Look online at Big-als That is where I buy mine. they have it in several sizes I think up to 4 liter bottles.

Yes I have live plants, otherwise I could just get the good old "algae be gone" tablet thingies. I also have invertebrates. So double no no on the tabbies.

Thanks for the flourish info. I was hoping to find it local because my algae is reallllly bad. Was fine when it was cycling, because I had a million snails. But it's a puffer tank and they ate all the snails, lol. I only have 2 shrimp and an otto in with them, and they don't work fast enough.
Besides, ottos don't eat green algae, which is getting pretty bad in the tank. The brown algae is a lesser problem.
