hey guys,

I'm looking into a single flowerhorn, and growing it out from fry, or juvi. what is everybody's thoughts on tank size minimum for a single fish?

what is more important, footprint or height?

no tankmates. just the one. oh and a id shark ....

lol.

Depends on the fish actually! Flowerhorns get almost just as tall as long. Fish like angels do better in taller tanks.
very true. an angel wil ldo much better in a 29 gallon than in a 30 long because they get so tall. danios and rainbows could carless if it tall or not, because they need room to move.

FHs get pretty big, so even a 75 gallon may be a bit to small, because of their size and because they can be big waste producers.

4-6 foot long, 75-125 gal
