Where i have my powerhead directed in my tank i am getting white fluffy algae on the branch it is pointing onto. Could anyone give me any suggestions as to how to get rid of or avoid this problem? I have tried redirecting it onto a different part of the tank but wherever i point the powerhead nozzle it just grows wherever it is pointed. I am also doing constant weekly 25% water changes. I have a couple of cory's in the tank but they do not seem to keen in munching it.

Is it leftover food getting caught there? Have you tried vaccing that area during your water changes?
No there is no where for the food to get stuck. I have just been scraping it off with my finger but as soon as i scrape it off it comes back after a couple of hours.

I have the same problem..Hairy/fluffy type algae in the line of my powerhead.. Its forming on the java moss and on some of the vallis in the line of fire..Havent tried scraping it off didnt think it was doing too much damage...
