I was wondering if there was a way to switch my 24" flulorescent bulb hood into 2 13w PC? This is because i have a lamp that uses PC and when I hold it over my tank everything just looks better.

I'm from Toronto too. For 24" fluorescent I retrofitted a 55 watt power compact. I got all the parts from BRITE LITE
Luckily my dad was in Calgary so I didn't even need shipping. 55 watt 6400K bulbs are only $16. The ballast was about $35-$40 I think. Helpful 1-800 number.
