Fluorite or Eco-Complete?

I prefer the eco-complete over the flourite. It is so easy to use since you do not have to rinse it. It is ready to go straight from the bag. For me this is a big plus. I also like the way it looks in the tank more then the flourite. To me it just seems more natural looking and the plants love it not to mention that they really stand out with the dark color of the eco. My cories also like to dig around in it. I would strongly recommend the eco-complete over the flourite if you have a lot of bottom dwellers as well.

I just replaced my sand with the flourite black gravel. I did 3 or 4 "stir and fills" in a bucket to wash it, then put it in my already-stocked tank. Water was clear within an hour or two. I like the look, and the particle size. Time will tell for the plants. The bottom dwellers are already poking around in it.
 
Azoo has a wonderful substrate which I think Looks better and Is more benificial than all these check it out.
