Does it provide enough trace elements & nutrients to plants? I read somewhere on here that it might not be enough. I really hope it is. I don't wanna use dry root tabs. What if my carpet plants get too dense and that's not an option anymore?

you'll have to use root tabs with anything eventually from what i know.
no, fluorite is not enough. eco-complete basically has nothing either.
there's aquasoil and a couple store specific brands but i don't know of much else that'll have more than just a few or minimal ferts.

I agree...fluorite isn't all that different from regular sand or gravel IME.
What plants do you have? Dosing the water column might be enough.

I've got flourite in one tank & playsand in the other. I use root tabs in both.
I've got a tank with some very fine, soft terracotta colored sand: if there were anything growing in it besides a javamoss wall and some moss balls, I'd have root tabs in there too.

So, root tabs are the best bet? Can I just use those instead of emptying my tank and striping it down? I only worry about root tabs because my carpet plants would have to be pulled up if I wanted to put some root tabs in the gravel. I don't know. Please help me on this. You've convinced me to use root tabs now.
don't pull up your plants. just put them under the surface next to the plants. the roots will find the nutrients.
