I bought a used 303 the other day that the seller said needed a new impeller. So, I went and bought a new impeller and it still doesn't work. The impeller seems to fit reallt tight in the well (won't turn by hand) and when plugged in there is a magnetic field inside the well ( stuck pliers in and it was pulling them). Any suggestions? Is it something I am doing or is this thing pooched?

There may be build up in the chamber. Take a flaslight and look in it. You could also try to buff the cylinder out with a dremel and a really fine grit paper. You just don't want to oval that cylinder because you'll never get it to work right at all...but what the heck..it doesn't work now.
How tight should the impeller fit? There doesn't look to be any build up, but you have to really push to get it in.
