Hi All,
I've got a Fluval 404 for around 5+ years and it's been running flawlessly without missing a beat. During the past 3 filter maintenance that I've done I've noticed there's a very slow trickle of water coming out at the bottom corner of one of the slide clamps.
To fix this I would need to open it up and reseat the "head unit" several times before the leak would stop. It's as if it's not seating properly until after several attempts.
I've looked at the o-ring and it still looks like it's in a "healthy" state (sorry didn't know which word to use)
Tho I haven't vaslined it as I have read some people do as part of their maintenance tasks.
What's the best way for me to ensure leaks doesn't happen next time I do a filter maintenance? Should my first attempt be to try and replace the o-ring and see what happens?
Thanks heaps in advance.
