Fluval Chi 5 gallon

No problem, the key to a SW tank is making sure it cycles and keeping a very strict cleaning regiment. That is about it. At least from my experience. If all you have is some live rock and a crab, you might be fine with doing a water change every 2 weeks. But you really have to set the system up to really get a hold of what it needs.

Good luck and please provide pics when you can!!!!

Alright, I've decided I'm not going to do a pico reef with my Chi but I am feeling braver about trying salt water and I'm going to keep one of my 10 gallons or my 20 long for a nano reef at a later date. I'd like to thank everyone for their help :)

No problem. Keep us informed for when you take the dive to SW

Congrats :)

My SO doesn't buy me marine books.

but did say OK to a new 90g aquarium to raise cuttlefish :)

like a time-lapse video of the egg's hatching?

heavens no... sounds like way too much work ;)

Fluval Spec would be a better choice for a pico.. Its what I'm doing right now, Fuval Spec, WP10, intank media basket, still deciding on lighting between current marine orbit led and par38.
