Hello all, long time since I've posted anything on here.
Well heres the deal. I bought a Fluval 205 for my 12g puffer tank. I love it and the flow is just perfect. I was thinking of adding a UV sterilizer to the output line of the Canister but the stupid line is corrugated! So Anyone who owns a Fluval and a UVS, What did you do to ensure a watertight connection? Which UVS did you choose? I just want to be sure this works before I buy it online.
Thanks!

Just go to the hardware store and get regular tubing to replace the corrugated tubes?

Although, why do you want to add a UV unit? IME they aren't really needed on well-maintained tanks.

Dang lol! you guys are super duper fast! I was thinking of that but i dont think the normal line will make the bends on the input/output brackets without kinking.
I have heard of people using the corrugated tubing but i would like ideas or experiences of this.
Thanks!

I want to add a UV unit as a precaution since i dont have a qt tank nor the space for one, so that way i can use it when needed(after introducing any new animal). I know it wont cure any deseases but it will help with bacteria/pathogens in the water.

i got fiber reinforced to go with my mag 350 filter and i put it in and i worked fine you may need to get a reducer or enlarger to fit the right size of the mounting posts on the units thou

Yeah you can either use the reinforced stuff, or use barbed elbows to make corners to avoid kinks.

i hooked mine up right to my UV with the corrugated and all. The unit I had had the compression type fittings for more than one size tube. My UV broke though so I don't use it any more...
