Flyfishing for Carp...

As a resident of Colorado, this disturbs me on a deep level. Not sure why, but it falls in the "that ain't right" category.

Guessing it was a hell of a fight though!

My fondest fishing memory is a 16 lb Carp caught on ultralight spinning gear spooling 4lb test. One of the most exciting hours of my life!

Hi friends,

Thanks for you sharing informative topics and nice image. I would say, Fly fishing for carp is the ultimate challenge. They are very spooky fish, particularly amur or grass carp.

Thanks....
Martin Walker

Pound for pound they are the toughest fish I have caught in a long time..

Carp will eat just about anything and we can tie flies to represent just about anything.. It is a win win..

Ive been fly fishing for almost 3years now. I live on the potomac river in maryland. Haven't hooked into the big carp yet, been trying to. I have however caught several snakeheads on poppers though!
