food for cherry shrimp.

In the next couple of weeks i am going to buy aout 15 cherry shrimp but really would like to know what to feed them. Any input would be great.
:help: Also, are the safe from a whisper in tank filter (85gph) , and a cray?

ooooo no way are they safe. both the crayfish and the filter will eat them up. Although, the latter can be prevented with the use of some filter floss and sponges.

If you keep them in a safer environment, you can feed them algae wafers, crab food (i forget the brand name), blanched vegetables, and other algae/plant based foods.

the filter in take has slots about || that far apart, and is away from the large driftwod. and i am working on a diy foam filter for the other side of the tank. as for the cray i really don't know would it be a safer proposition in my 55 gallon. Both tanks are very, very heavily planted.

just use a sponge over the intake. i feed mine flake food and algae wafers and what ever is around.
